About Me

Biography

Holly Myers is a sophomore from Monrovia, MD double majoring in Animal Sciences with a concentration on Animal Care and Management and Studio Art at the University of Maryland. Her interests include digital art, graphite portraiture, reading, and animals. She has gained experience in the animal care profession working in the on-campus lab with a variety of species, from quail to ferrets. Her art mainly focuses on portraiture, in both digital and traditional mediums. After graduating with her bachelor's degrees in Studio Art and Animal Sciences, she plans to work for or zoo or lab setting, due to an interest in the care and keeping of exotics, potentially with a side business of selling her art.

As a College Park Arts Scholar, Holly intends to explore her interest in portraiture through her Capstone project to be completed later this school year, potentially basing it around a theme of fairy tales or mythology. She is excited to take full advantage of the opportunity to learn about art careers from guest artists, especially because of her own interest in an art career. She also looks forward to attending (online) field trips to explore the arts within the community of College Park, MD.
